UI for retail web

I work full-time for American Eagle + Aerie with a primary focus on UI for the retail website. My core responsibilities include managing a designer, designing for the path to product experience, and enhancing the overall experience of the site and the brands as a whole.

Though my role is mostly creative, I am a sole partner with the digital + development teams. I work daily with product managers and developers to collaborate on active enhancements to the site; but also advocate for updating experiences in order to stay relevant to our customers.

Make it happen.

i know my customers & my brand

Four years at American Eagle + Aerie has provided me with the experience to listen, inspire & assist customers in their shopping journey. I know my customers; the way they shop differently, what information they need, their expectations & their desires. I also know my brands; they seek true connection and design clothing and a space for them to thrive.

Using this knowledge, I have been apart of a lot of amazing work; here are a few to get a good idea.

personalization

A determined team of designers, product managers, and business leaders strive to make our experiences more personal and helpful for our customers. By showcasing products we think they may like, popular pairings, trending products, and ones exclusive to them. It is spread across our site and has been a prominent focus for the business.

blogs

Our brands really care about how our customers understand our true goals; to be connected to the people that shop with us, but to also be REAL about how we are helping to improve the world we live in. I worked on both the AE + Aerie blogs to bring those stories to life.

Loyalty

We want to reward our most loyal customers. I have been apart of two redesigns of our loyalty program over my time at AEO; from the branding, site development and future evolutions of the programs. These are examples of some of my largest scale projects as it scales across the entire customer experience.

UI for multi-brands

AE and Aerie share a similar mission, but have quite different goals and brand anatomies. The challenge I have is how I create useful UI that still represents and evolves for each brand. Wearing different hats is a privilege.
